Ups and downs

Although the landscape through central Illinois has been flat, we've been having our own ups and downs. For example, up: a great turnout of folks for artmaking at the Lexington Art Center, hosted by Emma Long. Down: riding in the pouring rain from Bloomington to Lincoln. Up: getting a warm welcome from a crowd at the Lincoln Art Institute, and then making art with them. Down: two flat tires on the road from Litchfield to Edwardsville. Up: meeting all sorts of nice people on Route 66 from Chicago all the way to St. Louis. All in all, the ups outweigh the downs.
