Out of Illinois

Illinois has been fun, but it's time to see what art looks like in other states. We had a few brief but enjoyable interludes in Missouri, and then yesterday we crossed into Kentucky via a police escort across the bridge from Cairo, Illinois. This end of Kentucky is short, so we will soon be entering Tennessee and then Mississippi. If anybody knows anyone who lives along the river in those states, send us an email so we can meet up and make some art with them!

From left, Kyle, Bert, Dexter, and Holly pose in the Grove, St. Louis. All are artists, but only one has a studio full of paintings and an awesome wife named Gwen (hint: it's Dexter).

Happy artists in a park in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Henryk won the Best in Show award at the art event later that evening. We called it good karma after he spent the afternoon making art with us.

Popeye, the patron saint of Chester, Illinois. Our good samaritans in Chester were Debbie and Jesse, who gave us a tour of the town and pointed our way to the Chester Eagles where we stayed for the night. Hurray!
